Note From the Editor

It is with a mix of sadness, regret, and relief I am writing this.  I have been doing this site for three and a half years now, and it has begun to consume my life and has come no closer to even breaking even, much less turning a profit.  It has taken over most of my free time, and I haven't even been able to find anyone to take over the duties of doing sales.  Just keeping the calendar up to date has been a full time job, and to be perfectly honest, I am burned out.  I have decided to go back to going to motorcycle events because I want to, and not because of an attempt to provide coverage for a site that has become all consuming and is no closer to running at a profit.

I had sincerely hoped that by this time I would have been at least breaking even, or preferably making a small profit, but alas, I am no closer, and need to rethink the priorities in my life right now.  I know that there is a pretty good sized group of you out there who are going to the site, because I look at the numbers.  I truly hope that someone will step up and offer to take over the site, but it will need to be someone who either has a staff available to them, or someone willing to put everything else aside to build up the site, as I have for the last three and a half years.

I will not take the site down for a couple of weeks, in hopes that someone steps up to take it over, but I will not be going to events with a camera taking photos, I will be there to take part and enjoy myself.  I still plan to try to build up the Movie Nights at Rosie's Den (now moved to the first Friday of each month with the movie starting at 9:30 pm, terms are still the same.

All in all, it has been a hell of a ride, and I feel good knowing there are like minded people out there in the motorcycle world.  I have met quite a few people, both in clubs and independents that I am honored to call friends, and will continue to support events from the people who have done their best to support me through this endeavor.  If any of you want copies of the photos that I have taken of your events over the years, please do not hesitate to send me an e-mail at my private e-mail at wilbert.h.smith96@gmail.com and I will burn them onto a cd for you.  Feel free to contact me there for any other reason as well, and thank you all for your support, but barring unforseen circumstances, Sin City Biker will be no more in a couple of weeks.
